How does Gnomonology work?
Gnomonology sells downloadable tutorials and assets by various professional artists. To purchase an item, a credit card is required. Once purchased, go back to the tutorial's description page and look for the links to download the tutorial below the "purchased tutorial" graphic on the right.
You have three viewing options for tutorials: Quicktime, Flash and iPod. The Quicktime versions are the highest quality: 1024x768. Due to the large file size, the Quicktime versions can be saved to disk for playback from your computer harddisk. The Quicktime player is required, available from www.apple.com/quicktime. The Flash version is viewable in your browser at 800x600. The Flash plugin is required, available at www.adobe.com. The iPod version is available for download to your computer harddisk at a resolution of 320x240. It is encoded using the iPod native format, so that you can simply drag it into iTunes and sync it with your iPod for viewing from anyplace, anytime. For purchased assets, including models, textures or projects, they are available as a downloadable .zip file.

You have exactly one week from the time of purchase to download your tutorials or assets.
What if the file sizes are too big for my internet connection?
Your account keeps track of all the tutorials or assets that you have purchased. If at any time, even after the one week download window, you would like to have your purchased items sent to you on DVD-ROM, you have the option to add any purchased item to a custom-made DVD-r. The cost for a custom DVD is $20 plus shipping.
How are the custom DVDs shipped?
Domestic (US) orders are shipped via UPS ground. All international orders are shipped via USPS Global Priority (6-10)days. Orders are processed Monday-Friday and are usually shipped the next business day. For International 2nd day air orders, there occasionally is a delay due to some country customs regulations.
What about international orders?
All prices are listed in US Dollars. Your credit card company will automatically convert the amount of your order based on current exchange rates. If you want to know current exchange rates against US Dollars, visit the Universal Currency Converter. We can ship your package just about anywhere in the world. If you order on-line, confirmation of your shipment will be sent by e-mail. PLEASE NOTE: We are not responsible for any customs taxes or fees your country may have for importing these DVDs. We are also not responsible for any delays or lost items due to customs, and if customs returns your order to us we will charge you for the reshipment of your order. However, if a problem with customs occurs, we will do our best to help get your order released.
Do the DVDs work in all countries?
DVDs from Gnomonology are DVD-ROMs, compatible with virtually all computers equipped with a DVD-ROM drive.
What is your refund policy?
All sales are final and non-refundable. Please review your order carefully before submitting your final purchase as we do not refund orders of downloadable tutorials or assets. If you encounter a technical problem with your order we will do our best to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. All of our DVDs are non-refundable.
Are your DVD products guaranteed?
Gnomonology DVDs are guaranteed to arrive in perfect condition. If any DVD should be damaged in shipping or prove to be a defective copy, we will replace it with a new one. This guarantee is valid up to 30 days after the date of purchase. All DVDs will only be exchanged with another copy of the same product. All of our DVDs are non-refundable.
Is my credit card number safe?
All credit card transactions made through Gnomonology are encrypted via our secure server, making it virtually impossible for your personal information and credit card number to be stolen during your purchase. Furthermore, at no point is your personal information or credit card number stored unencrypted on our e-commerce server.
Is my information kept private?
Gnomonology never sells or shares any customer information with any other company. Your e-mail address is required to send order confirmation information, or to alert you if there were any problems with an order. Phone numbers are required for the purpose of completing Express Mail shipping forms and customs forms for international shipments.
How do I post comments on the tutorials?
Comments/questions for each tutorial are available exclusively to those who have purchased the tutorial or asset.
How can I make requests or contact the instructors?
Many of our instructors have personal websites with contact info. For more information, Visit the 'instructors' link at the top of the site to view our instructor Gnomonology pages.
How can I contact Gnomonology in the event of a problem?
The best way to contact us is via email: info@gnomonology.com . Emails are responded to on a daily basis, but if you have the need to speak to someone, you can reach us at 800-909-7574 domestic, or 323-978-0800 international.
Can I share my purchased tutorials or assets?
No. Our instructors work very hard to take time out of their production schedules to share these tutorials, techniques and assets. Please adhere to our Terms of Use and understand that purchased items are for personal use only. We have tried to make Gnomonology a valuable and affordable resource to all, so your cooperation and support are necessary for this resource to grow. Instructors will only be able to justify the time and expense of producing tutorials if they feel that their compensation is fair. Piracy and illegal filesharing is anything but fair to our instructors.
