This tutorial is a kick start to rendering a typical kind of fur in Photoshop.
You will be walked through the observations of why fur appears the way it does. From there a discussion and demonstration on how to create a series of brushes that not only expedite the process, but also lend a realism to the end result.

The tutorial and brushes are great - but the poster shot appears to be taken from his photo reference? If so that's more than a little misleading (it's not totally clear, but he does not demonstrate painting anything quite that complex). Also the sound levels are extremely low.
